Brahmakalashotsava 2013

Brahma Kalashothsva in Shree Durga Devi Temple was celebrated from 14th February 2013 to 23rd February 2013 under the direction of Shri Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Sri Adamaru Matha.

On the occation of Brahma Kalashothsva various Religious rituals, Dharmika Sabha and Cultural programmes were held held daily.

In the morning on 14th February 2013, first day of Brahmakalashothsava, Shri Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Sri Adamaru Matha Udupi inaugurated the Brahmakalashothsava ceremony.
Later various religious rituals such as Geha Pratigraha, Prayer, Toorana Muhurtha, Punyaaha, Naandi, Kankana bandhana, Arani Mathana, Agni Janana, Gavya Yaaga, Gana Yaaga, Thulasi Vrundaavana prathishta, Praasada shudhi, Vaastu Yaaga, Raakshogna Yaaga, Bhoovaraaha yaaga, Vaastu bali, Praakaara bali were held.

In the evening Shri Shri Sugunendra Theertha Swamiji of Shri Puthige Matha Udupi, inaugurated the religious and cultural programme. Shri Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Sri Adamaru Matha Udupi presided the occasion.

Heads of different religion were invited to the occasion.

Later cultural dance programme was held by students of local school and members of ‘Giri Bahagni ‘ association.

Prasada (Hore Kaanike) from Shre Krishna matha Udupi was by Paryaya Sri Sode vadiraja Matha

On 17th February 2013 devotess from various (16 Maagane) villages offered “Hore Kaanike”.

On 18th Februaru 2013 Shri Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Sri Adamaru Matha offered “Golden Mantapa” to Shree Durga Devi.

On 22nd February 2013, Religious rituals began at 6 AM and Shri Shri Vishwapriya Theertha Swamiji of Udupi Sri Adamaru Matha performed Pooja for Brahma Kalasha.
Later Shri Raghavendra Bhat Priest of the Temple carried the Brahma Kalasha inside the temple.
Shri Swamiji performed Abhsheka and Mangala Arathi to Shree Durga Devi. Later Mahapooja was performed to Shree Durga Devi followed with Bali and Palla Pooja. Thousands of Devotees visited the temple and offered Sevas. Shuttle bus and car services arranged from Katapadi to Kunjarugiri and from the bottom of the temple to up. Maha Santharpane was held in the noon.

In the Night Maharanga pooja and Rathothsava was held.
Thousands of Devotees had feasting in the noon and in the night.
